Compact or full size keyboard?

After many years of using a compact keyboard, I declare: a full-size keyboard does not provide any advantages and only takes up extra space on the table:

Keyboard layout ЯЖЕРТЫ

Almost all punctuation marks and special characters on the English and standard Russian keyboard layouts are on different keys. It is possible to almost completely eliminate this drawback by using the ЯЖЕРТЫ layout.

The symbols of the Russian layout depicted on the keyboard keys do not correspond to the ЯЖЕРТЫ layout, so when using ЯЖЕРТЫ they are useless; they can be painted over with a felt-tip pen.

When using ЯЖЕРТЫ, you need to remember which key a particular letter is on. It is not difficult to remember, since on the ЯЖЕРТЫ layout almost all Russian letters are assigned similar English letters.

Mouse pad or sandpaper?

If the mouse doesn't work well on the table surface, you can buy a mouse pad. But the pad takes up space, so I solve this problem differently: I sand the entire table surface.
